Even though the base alone is sufficient to stop most of the attacks used by Town Hall 8 attackers, using the clan castle can help a lot. Using clan castle troops for defending your base is highly recommended as they can put the attacker in trouble by distracting them. One more thing, this base is good enough on its own but make sure you have something in your clan castle for the defense because at lower town halls, defensive clan castle troops are an integral part of the defense, so if you want to boost your success rate, i definitely recommend getting a dragon or some valks in your clan castle for defense.
